Overview
I ran an independent QA audit of JagSim, a trading simulation platform, to evaluate the reliability, consistency and usability of its trading experience. Testing covered order execution, trade history, market-state behavior, live data, chart rendering, navigation, watchlists, search and cross-device and browser behavior.
8 issues 2 High · 3 Medium · 3 Low severity, spanning trading functionality, market-state handling, live data accuracy, chart usability and interface consistency.

Issues identified
highCrypto market shows incorrect market-hours behavior
Crypto assets were labeled as 24/7 markets, but the interface displayed a stock-market-hours queue message.
ImpactCould confuse users about when crypto orders can execute and cause them to misunderstand market availability.
highStale price display after returning to the app
After leaving and returning to the trading interface, an outdated BTC price was briefly displayed before correcting itself.
ImpactAn incorrect price could affect user confidence in the accuracy of market information.
mediumMAX button inconsistent behavior
The MAX function sometimes displayed a stale value or filled an amount below the available buying power without clearly explaining the difference.
ImpactUsers may wrongly assume they are using their full available balance.
mediumAmount field does not refresh after fill
After an order was filled, the amount field could keep showing the previously entered amount instead of reflecting the executed state or resetting.
ImpactCreated inconsistency between the order ticket and the execution confirmation.
mediumHeader percentage change does not reconcile with candle data
The displayed percentage change did not consistently line up with the price movement shown by the visible candle data.
ImpactCould make users question the accuracy of displayed market information.
lowMultiple amount presets remain selected
Selecting MAX after another amount preset could leave both options visually highlighted.
ImpactCreated ambiguity about which amount was active.
lowOHLC tooltip overlaps chart elements
Chart tooltip information could be obscured by the price line or candle body.
ImpactReduced readability when analyzing chart data.
lowDuplicate price tags on chart axis
Two price indicators could display the same value at the same level.
ImpactCreated visual clutter and potential confusion.
Key takeaway
The audit went beyond cosmetic defects and focused on issues that could affect user confidence, product reliability and the accuracy of the trading experience. After the initial QA pass, the JagSim team reproduced and confirmed the two initially reported trading issues and invited me to discuss a broader, comprehensive QA audit.
